In The Sims 2 Pets, any Sim aged teen or older can become a werewolf. There are only two things that can infect a Sim with lycanthropy – being nibbled by the Leader of Pack NPC or receiving the Savage interaction from a werewolf Sim.
You don’t have to worry about your Sims becoming werewolves if you don’t want them to. Your Sims must develop a relationship with the Leader of the Pack before to get nibbled, and the Savage interaction is never done autonomously.
But if you do want your Sim to be a werewolf, read on. I’ll show you how it’s done!
Attracting the Leader of the Pack
The Leader of the Pack is an NPC wolf. You’ve probably seen him wandering by some of your Sim’s homes at night (the only time he appears). He’s black with yellow, glowing eyes and has a random name in each neighborhood.

To become a werewolf, your Sim needs to build up a relationship with the Leader of the Pack. But that’s not always easy! It may take several visits to increase your relationship enough – and your relationship score drops between visits.
Try these methods to attract wolves to your lot more frequently:
- Place trees and bushes on your lot. Every four trees or bushes on your lot increases the chances of a wolf visit by 1 percent.
- Have a baby or toddler. Okay, don’t just have a baby to attract wolves! But, if you do have a baby or toddler on the lot, this increases the chance of a wolf visit.
- Adopt a stray wolf. If you befriend and adopt a stray wolf, other wolves – including the Leader of the Pack – are more likely to show up on your lot.
Summoning the Leader of the Pack
If you don’t want to wait, you can always use cheats and/or mods to summon the Leader of the Pack.
Here’s a cheat to summon him directly:
- Hold down Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheat console.
- Type in “boolprop testingcheatsenabled true” without the quotes. Press enter.
- Shift + Right-click on the mailbox.
- Select Make NPC > Leader of the Pack.

After a short time, the wolf will appear at the edge of the lot – just as if he was wandering by normally. You can now greet him and start building your relationship.
There’s also a mod that makes the Leader of the Pack come every night. This helps a LOT when you want a Sim to become a werewolf quickly (but you don’t want to cheat too much). Now you won’t have to wait days between visits.
I recommend taking it out of your mods folder once you don’t need it anymore, though – unless you don’t mind the Leader of the Pack showing up on all your lots every night.
Befriending the Leader of the Pack
Watch for the Leader of the Pack to arrive on your lot at night. You will know it’s him by his glowing eyes. Once you see him, immediately have your Sim go out and greet him.

At first, you will only have a few interactions available. Choose “Give Love” and alternate between stroking and feeding treats. Soon, the “Rub Belly” and “Play” interactions will be unlocked.
Continue interacting with the wolf until you achieve a daily AND lifetime relationship of 50+ (top bar and bottom bar). You won’t accomplish this in a single night. (It took my Sim about three sleepless nights to get nibbled.)
Getting Nibbled
Once your relationship score is 50/50+, the Leader of the Pack can “nibble” your Sim and turn him (or her) into a werewolf. Look for the two green paw prints next to the lifetime relationship score that indicate your Sim and the wolf are best friends.
Now, stop all your Sim’s interactions. Have them stand still and do absolutely nothing. If they try to perform an interaction (other than receiving a nibble), cancel it. Continue as long as the wolf stays on your lot. If you’re lucky, he’ll approach and give you a nibble.

After you’ve been successfully nibbled, your Sim will walk away and immediately transform into a werewolf. Congratulations, you’re truly a beast!
The Savage Interaction
If you have a werewolf already in your game, you can turn another Sim by using the “Savage” interaction. Adults and elders can use Savage on other adults and elders (but not teens). And teens can use Savage on other teens.

Savage looks like any other fight in the game, and the Sim you’re turning into a werewolf will NOT be happy about it. Becoming a werewolf always gives a negative memory in the vanilla game – even if the Sim wants to become one.
The bitten Sim’s daily and lifetime relationships also take a small hit towards the werewolf Sim. The original werewolf Sim’s lifetime relationship takes a small hit, but their daily relationship actually goes UP toward the bitten Sim.
Living with Lycanthropy
Your Sim now has the special power to transform into a werewolf every night – but he’s likely to scare all of his family and friends in the process! So be careful and use those powers wisely.
