Maxis Lot Makeover: Inter@ctive Arcade ~ Teen Hangout for Sims 2

Interactive Arcade Sims 2 Lot Makeover

This is a Maxis lot makeover of Inter@ctive – the (really bad) lot that came with Apartment Life. It’s now much more attractive and functional than the original, and it makes a great teen hangout spot. This is a CC-free lot.

I’m using it in Pleasantview as a place to send my teens on dates and group outings. I use Visitor Controller to ban all age groups except teens so only other teens will appear on the lot.

Features & Amenities

I did the best I could making over Interactive and I’m quite happy with how it turned out. Here’s what’s included:

  • PC gaming room with expensive computers
  • Console gaming area with large TVs
  • Pinball and arcade game machines
  • Jukebox for music
  • Lots of seating for eating snacks and making out
  • Snack areas with vending machines
  • Kiosks that sell handheld games, cell phones, and mp3 players
  • Photobooth for taking pictures or woohoo

This lot will not spawn any NPCs.

Requirements

I have the Ultimate Collection and I used items from (probably) all the expansion and stuff packs. You will AT LEAST need Apartment Life and Mansion & Garden Stuff for the lot to function properly.

For the best experience you’ll need the UC or ALL expansion and stuff packs.

Recommendations

No custom content was used to remodel this lot, but I would recommend the following if you don’t have them already:

  • Decorative Parking Spaces – This mod will populate the parking lot with random cars, depending on type of lot and time of day.
  • Parking Lot Supplemental Pack – Includes parking blocks, signs, and speed bumps. I mostly use the parking blocks.
  • Visitor Controller – Allows you to ban Sims by age group, so you can ban children, adults, and elders – making this a teen-only lot!
  • Ceiling Light Fix – Fixes the lights so they are properly fitted into the ceiling instead of below it.

Download

Click the link below to download the lot for your own game. To install, extract the contents of the zip file and double click on the Sims 2 package file. You can also use the Sims 2 Pack Clean Installer if you prefer. There are alternate download links below the download button if you have issues with SFS.

  1. Thanks Cindy! I watched your Pleasantview Next Gen playlist on YouTube a while back and when I saw this lot and all the teens that visited whilat your teens were on their dates I tried to recreate it for my teens but to my dismay only old people came to visit it! And the damn Charleton, ugh. Anyway, thanks for the lot, sending you love from South Africa!

  2. Hi Cindy!
I know that you’re currently experiencing a burn-out with TS2, so I totally get it if you do not want to answer any questions related to the game at the moment. Take care and give yourself the break you trully deserve!
I was wondering if I can install this lot into my hood if it already has the lame Maxis-created Inter@ctive in it?
I’m still kind of new to playing TS2 with all the necessary precautions (I cringe every time I look back at my 6-year-old self who deleted every tombstone available in the game :`), so I’m kinda confused — is it safe to delete non-residential lots that were already placed in the hood by the player? Won’t this cause corruption?
When I started playing Pleasantview a few weeks ago for the first time in ages, I installed almost every lot that was available in the lot bin for whatever reason, which I regret a lot right now — they are hideous and clutter the neighbourhood.
Thank you so much for all of your hard work and greetings from Moscow, Russia.

  3. Hi Cindy, I love this lot and went to download it. I was referring to your YT video “How to Install Lots in The Sims 2” and you showed how to do it with a SIMS2PACK File, but this file is a 7Z File. After I 7-Zip the file, it becomes a “Sims 2 Installable Package”, do I still drag this to my home screen and continue how you did in the video, or do I do something else?
    Thanks for all the help!!
